North wind and rabbit tracks here. At least it sounds like you get a fish fry.

Hey Drifter! We were on Walsh yesterday to try out one of these tipitents. Long story on how it came to be mine. We'll have to sit with a scotch and I'll tell it to you  ;D

Only fish of the day was caught by my offspring

Sounds like a plan, but make mine a rum.  ;)2
Nice looking tent. Military?
I landed one laker in the 3 1/2# range and a couple of pike with the biggest about the size of your young'uns.
Lost a couple of other fish and missed a couple. The lost fish were a laker and an unknown.  :-\

Probably the hardest part of icefishing is the snow removall!!!!   ::)
The lake I was on had hard packed knee deep snow that was a pain and was a workout to remove.
The only good thing about the deep snow was the ice was only 3 feet thick.   ;D

UPDATE:  :D

Not army gear Drifter:  http://www.tipitent.com/outfitter_tipi.htm I know with most of my gear being olive drab, it is an easy assumption to make  ;D

It was a bit of a pain getting set up, but once up it was pretty slick. And the snow was definitely difficult. Deepest was 3' with the bottom foot froze/packed/froze. As you can see in that one pic though, I brought mechanical assistance with me! Even with the snowblower I had a he11 of a time. Going to need chains for the tires I guess.

We will have to get you indoctrinated into scotch Brother. Nectar of the Gods I tell you!  ;D

I have only ever used my own breading for fish. Is that store bought stuff worth it? It looks fantastic!

Yep, store bought.
I tried it when I was in Alaska quite a few years ago and it is really good.
Better than any other I have tried.
Unfortunately I don't think it's available in Canada (at least I've never seen it anywhere).

I like to be a little more mobile so I have a mobile tent.  ;D

I also have one of those pop up ice huts for early season when walking onto the ice.
