Willoughby Access
« on: Feb 12, 2013, 12:48 PM »
Was thinking of fishing Willoughby next week- have wanted to fish there in summertime for yrs but haven't gotten to it yet.

Whats the access like without a snowmobile or 4 wheeler?

Is there any spots to park on Crescent Beach Lane and get onto the lake or is all that private?
I'm going to head up there regardless and scope it out but thought I'd ask the group as well.

Thanks!

State access is typically busy on a weekend but get there early walk out away from shanty ville an
will be all set. Crescent beach road is private and no access there. Access can also be gained
South end, devils rock pull off and any where along the cliffs where you see a parking space.
Lake is good and locked up. I see you are from NYC considered Lake George? Willoughby can be a
desert in Mid Feb just as lake George (just recently frozen) is producing nice fish. I was there last weekend.

Thanks TRT, appreciate the guidance.
Hopefully I'll get out next week and will let you know how I do.

My mom lives in Stowe (and also where I store my gear) so thats why I fish NEK mostly.

I love fishing new places but probably won't make it upstate this winter due to no car in the city and gear in VT...
Planning to fish Schenectedy (spelling?) lake next summer tho!!

Thanks again
