Have a neighbor by our house we go to during mud season.  We were there early January this year, and he actually plows with hid old 3 wheeler.  I was pretty imptessed how well it moved the snow around.

ur going to need a sled. ...otherwise. it was a NE wind that switched to NNW so most of your snow will be on the southern edges

You can have 500 hp and all the picks you want, find enough slush and you will be stopped
Hahaha, ok. sleds will go across open water. Never seen a wheeler do that.

And by the way it only took me about 45 seconds from when I hit the lake to my shack about a mile.

Yeah, but after playing several fish for 3 plus hours each, you must have returned the next day. :roflmao: :roflmao:

But....How do you tend your traps???My nephew has a crotch rocket two wheel drive wheeler that can hover across the ice right now. But,he can't stop or check his gear or anything....just hammer it from shore and onto another landing on shore. Not much good for doing anything out on the ice....

You wanna hope the warden doesnt see you doing that either.  Ask people that skim and most will tell you they have gotten really wet at least once.  Sleds dont float, tried it, didnt go well.

Btw I told that exact story to one of the 3 people in the state who can certify a state record fish, and guess what he said after seeing it. Believed me 100 % said he's had them take that long before himself, and that most people would have lost it due to impatience!!

I had to tow a broke down snowmobile 2 years ago with my 4 wheeler in 12-24 inches of slush/snow . they tried towing it with 2 other snow machines with no luck . The 4x4 wheeler with rear chains hauled it right out .

The MOTOR don't do crap for four foot drifts or 12"of slush with two feet of snow on it.Get a clue.Tracks on a wheeler are the best way to go right now.Been pulling sleds off the ice all week long.

The thing is either way, if i have a wheeler with tracks or a wheeler with chains, if its on a trailer I cant pull into your parking lot or I mean out.  :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

I guess it all depends on the driver and tires...I drove all over the lake today, over 3 foot drifts and only got stuck when i wanted to...I was driving a atc also...lol

So you was averaging about 80 mph eh? I see someone was using caution after the storm  ::)

In general, the middle and northern ends of lakes got the snow blown off, while south ends, and near most shores got drifted up, but it depends on the particular lake.

Even with chains  Plan on carring a shovel you will be hung up  on the drifts.

Kawasaki Brute Force 750......... Those things are animals. Had one a couple years ago and the only way I would ever get slowed down or stuck was when I wanted to. Front diff lock is amazing. Fished with a snow sled earlier this year when there was little to no snow on the ice burned the slides right off it and couldn't turn to save my life.

Why would anyone want to get stuck?

In other words if I give it to much gas and bury my tires...

My grizzly hasnt  had any issues getting stuck in heavy slush by itself; its when I'm hauling a freighted tote sled. Most often I just need to hit the yellow button & put the hammer down. Remember in the movie Lone Wolf Mcquade when chuck gets buried along with his ram charger.....its kinda like that.
