Ice in Saginaw

Can anyone tell me how the ice is up in the Saginaw Bay Michigan area is right now??  And what kind of fish are they catching at this time...Thanks I C RED SNAPPER..

A few guys from IN are planning to come up this weekend and fish the bay.  We have all been there a few times.  Most of us have atv's.  I would like to get an updated ice report and snow conditions....I saw the forecast for several inches of snow Wed/Thur.  I also heard of questionable ice?  It's a 4 hour ride for us....any good info would be greatly appreciated.

there has been a bunch of peopole going through the ice lately because of that warm up we had there is a huge crack in the bay its all your call i havent been there but figured id tell you what i heard

You just have to watch the pressure cracks.. But from what I heard there were guys going 5 1/2 miles and that's where they were getting the walleye.. Word of advise just follow the tracks already going out and WATCH THE PRESSURE CRACKS!!! You can go on the Michigan dnr website and they give a pretty good fishing report for up there..

How much new snow did you guys get?

I have heard 8-10 inches.  I know a group that is planning on going out this afternoon and I'll post their reports from another site.  What I do know is that its quit snowing but the wind is really moving it around with drifts up to 2 feet deep on some of the roads.
