Saw some ice on Grays Bay a few days ago.  I was surprised that there was any left with the warm weather.  Hopefully we will make some ice next week.

Nobody on Grays this morning, but one brave soul was giving Wayzata a try.  He told me there was 2-3 inches of ice.  There was also three or four pockets of open water including one about 100 yards from where he was fishing.  I'm going to wait a few more days.  Has anyone been past Excelsior or Spring Park Bays?

I assume the entire lake will freeze tonight if the winds die down. The Wayzata landing had five large rocks around it.  So what's the science behind the old throw the rock in the air? :)
