Kokanee on Lake Mary Ronan
« on: Jan 17, 2013, 10:14 AM »
Went to Lake Five for Kokanees and only got one small guy, lots of them on camera just not interested in biting, fished in 40 foot of water. So I am thinking LMR on Friday, where do people fish for those ? East of state park in the deeper areas? I usually just fish perch on that lake so this is new for me. Any special lure you guys use? The one salmon I caught was on a ...(drum roll)  PK lure! ;D
Thanks!
Tina

I have done well on them the last few years on the other side from the state park.  Usually anything pink and small with a maggot or corn works.  Haven't been up this year so can't give a report.  Should be up there in the next few weeks.

Went up there yesterday, ice was fine, atvs tracks and about 10 inches. Didn't get anything to bite although I talked to some folks who got into some big kokanees off the point on the north end. Using corn and pink maggots. We were fishing at the wrong time of day, got skunked but still fun day outside.
