Where to go on a buddy's trip?
« on: Jan 16, 2013, 09:50 AM »
We are trying to figure out where to go for a ice fishing trip.  We are thinking South Dakota or Minnesota, 4-6 hour drive from NW Iowa,  for a 3-4 day trip.  In a perfect world we would find a hotel/lodge with fish cleaning access and/or service, and a nice steakhouse nearby.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.  We would be hauling all our own gear, so we are just looking for a nice lake and lodge.  Anybody got a favorite place to recommend?

Headed up to Bitter SD myself with a friend and some of his buddies this weekend. Heard its a blast as far as fishing goes. Staying in a hotel that has a bar and steakhouse attached to it with a fish cleaning house too. Will let you know how it is and report back.
