What an awesome day!!! The weather and the fish were very co-operative!!! Had a great group of ICESHANTY members!! Me, Upstate, and Mattwood met up with Ozzy, Coldbum, Carogakid and Colbum's dad. Great bunch of guys

. Had lots of good food and drink, thanks to Ozzy for the desert, Coldbum and Caroga kid for the beers and MattWood for landing all our fish for us!! Here are some pics of the day.

Wow, next year im done talking and im actaully gonna fish like I do in early ice season. I guess I shouldnt have stayed up till 6 am partying..but ya know, its al in good fun LOL. Glad you guys had a good day of fishing.

The trout tasted excellent!! It was 29", a real nice one for the King. Mattwood caught 2 nice keepers too 23 1/2" and 25", and Carogakid got a nice 24 incher! I'll post some more pics in the pictures board.

Cant wait to fish with you all again! I gotta think that with out iceshanty.com all of us Neighbors would never have gotten a chance to fish together. Thanks Iceshanty..

BTW I found a leatherman in with my gear when I was unpacking this morning??? Let me know who it belongs too and I will drop it off.

Robb let us know those snow conditions on fawn lake trail for a trout opener on ice!

Looks like you guys had a good day.Never fished Lake George,but after seeing the fish you guys catch there i think next year i will make a few trips.Coldbum,good luck on Monday,i will keep you in mind when i come across some extra gear.

That's the exact same size as my biggest one from there this year, not too many bigger from the King through the ice. That's a nice trout, they taste great too! Flesh like a salmon, but a little less oily.

Yes it was a great day indeed, a great way to end the season! I will miss it for sure

It was great to meet all you guys, I'm sure we'll get together sometime this summer, maybe for a fish fry?

Hey Robb, I was thinking if you wanted to haul us all out there to fawn lake we could use my big sled behind your snowmobile to get out there

Ozzy nice pics, they came out awesome! I sent you a pm about the Fawn lake trip, and I'll give everyone who wants to go an update on the trail conditions later in the week, as I will be heading up there to check it out. I love the pics though, Iceshanty poster boys!!!

As of this weekend, I here that fawn lake trail is still solid and very little dirt spots, just on the hill coming off the lake. If you park at the trail head you'll miss the bald spots. But, with todays heavy rains, just hope the trail will stay nice a hard. If it stays good for Friday, just go slow the trail will be hard packed ice, there are a few turns to watch out for at high speeds, just keep it under 15 m/h will be just fine.

Good and great luck on Friday, hope you get into them, I've always wanted to canoe carry into Fawn in the summer. That would be a blast.

Ozzy, your photography skills are first-rate. The picture of the laker being taken from the hole is one of the coolest I've ever seen. Your centering of the subject, and knack for waiting until the moment is perfect to snap the photo, are quite obvious from seeing this collection. I have never caught a legal laker from Lake George yet, and these pictures sure make me lust after them that much more. Next winter I will definitely put more time in there to try for legal size lakers.

Thanks alot Dfuller for the compliments, I do try to take the extra second or two to get everything just right for the pic. When your flipping through the photo album in years to come its nice to have some great pics to relive the experience and not a bunch jumbled up photos that have little feeling or meaning to them. I'm glad they inspired you to put more time into the lakers, it sure was alot of fun for us and I will be thinking of that day all the way till next ice!!
