Vexilar FL8 value
« on: Dec 24, 2012, 10:25 AM »
I have a chance to buy a 5 or 6 year old Fl-8 an Eskimo Quickfish 3 and a hand auger for $250... does this seem like a good deal? All I really want is the Vex for a spare or to let anybody fishing with me to use.

FL-8  $125 - $175
FL- 8 SLT $150 -$200
FL-8 SE $175-$ 225
The prices above are off of craigslist lower ranges that I have seen in Minneapolis, some people still want an arm and a leg for them as well.
I have seen them on CL a 20 year old vexilar FL-8 a guy was asking $270.00. good luck

we bought a package of ice fishing stuff for 250 about 5 years ago.  came with an older fl8, a quickflip 2 and a lazer auger and other misc fishing stuff.  sold the fl8 on the bay for 225, QF2 for 150 on CL and still have the auger.

buy it up.

I guess I'm not sure of the differences... I think the SE has brighter lights maybe? I'm sure there are other differences but I really don't know.

DS
The original FL-8 does not have IR (Interference rejection) depth scale is in 30 foot settings has an alarm setting
The FL-8 SLT (SLienT) first flasher with IR 20 foot depth scale Shallow setting 30 foot depth scale in deep setting
The FL-8 SE (Special Edition) Has a Enhanced display and Better IR Same depth scale as SLT
