Price County
« on: Dec 20, 2012, 12:44 PM »
Just joined this week.  Love the site!  Looks like many more here than on lake link.  I love the setup also.  Just wanted to introduce myself to this site. And see if any reports are in this area, as well as if any fishermen fish or live in the area.

Thanks

Welcome to the site, I'm around Hayward Stone Lake area about a good hour from Phillips. I fished Connors lake down that way a few times, quite a few good lakes out that way. How the ice down there?

I went out last weekend and had a good four to five inches consistently on all lakes i tried.  Tried flowages, and land locked lakes.

A few years back I had a place on the Flambeau at the mouth of the slough just up from 6 mile. Always had good luck right there in 12-15 FOW for both walleye and perch. Gotta watch the ice as the river seldom froze over at that point. Was a popular spot for a lot of guys.

deerlaker...

How is the ice up in Phillips?  Tried calling the bait shop in town to get a report but wasn't lucky enough to get in touch with anybody.  My brother, dad, and I plan on coming up to stay at our cabin on Solberg tomorrow.  Will try the bait shop again tomorrow morning, but if you or anyone else could give me a heads up it would be great!  I know you said you had 5" a few weekends ago, but better to ask again then to make the drive up be out of luck!

Thanks!

I was out today and there is over a half a foot.  ATV travel and Snowmobile travel has been used on lakes now.  You are fine coming up! Happy Holidays! and have fun!

You aren't that much south of me and we have had below zero temps at night now for about 7 straight days, I'm thinking the ice should be good.

Not much, caught a 34" musky on a tip up but it was pretty slow. Wasn't taking fishing to seriously just had some tipups in while working around the house. There were people going thru the narrows on sleds so i would imagine the entire chain is now safe.
