After you said 3" I went out there to see for myself.  Took the pole, but couldn't muster up enough courage to venture far from the bank... ice looked really rough and there was too much standing water for my taste.  Stupid mother nature.

The high of 56 today took about a half inch off the top of our ice hope it can hold on till we get some colder temps again.
