Jason Mitchell Seminar in Gillette

Just spoke with Rocky Mountain Discount in Gillette and was told Jason Mitchell was coming in on the 18th of January to put on an ice fishing seminar. Tentative start time is 6pm-8pm. RMD was also putting on some type of feed as well for the event.

I guess I don't know anything about Jason Mitchell.  Can you give me (us) some info on him?

Try a google search on Jason Mitchell. He's a guide on Devils Lake and makes fishing rods. He's done a bunch of video as well. I wish I was going to be in town.

Bummer! Ill be in devils lake when he comes. Last year when I was there With Zippy, Jason was taping a show for an outdoor channel in the midwest states right next to us. Seems like a good guy.

Was at Rocky yesterday ( had to purchase a few more PK's ) and asked about a starting time. They are pretty sure he is coming after he does a stop in Rapid but said to pay attention there will be posters and signs up soon

I would HIGHLY reccomend the Perch Patrol for your trip. Worth every penny in my opinion. All Ill say is that it was good enough that im going back this year with the same outfit.

You can go through woodland or directly through perchpatrol.

I have known Jason for a long time he is a great person and a hell of a guide, he has stayed true to his ethics, even after becoming famous. He took over for Tony Dean after he passed away a few years back. If your going up to DL hook up with Woodland Resort, great operation they have. Sadly I wont make up to Gillette to see his presentation, ill be back home in ND chasing jumbos, over Christmas when I was back had 50 perch over 2 lbs.
