Ice Auger question
« on: Nov 25, 2012, 08:34 AM »
So I'm wondering if anyone knows if those attachments that you put on your cordless drill then on your hand auger actually work. I have too much stuff to buy on my list this year but since I can't buy it all I was thinking about getting one of those but don't want to until I've heard if there worth the 20-30$$. Thanks fellas

Beats drilling by hand all to heck.  Mine with a craftsman 19.2 and lithium ion can do 15 holes in 7 inches.  Take your handle along as well so if it runs out of juice you can still drill.

Yes, they work.  But it's not the adapter you need to worry about so much as your drill.  Make sure you have a good HD drill.  A wimpy 12v from walmart wont cut it !
