Newcomer Saying hi
« on: Nov 19, 2012, 06:41 PM »
Hey everyone,
I've been checking out the site since this summer but figured it was time to say hi and start meeting some people. Just moved back to the hills last summer from OR so pretty rusty on the ice but looking for some more people to fish with or get to know. Work graveyards so gotta go but I'll post some more later.

Welcome.  I am from Spearfish as well.  You going to school up here?  Fishing is just about to get rolling around here, just need some cold nights.  And yes, let's hope Orman gets better ice than last year

Ya the ice on orman sucked last year...I'm rusty so not very brave when I'm alone ha ha, I'm from Spearfish but "suppose" to be going back to school this spring we'll see how it goes I already have a degree in Law Enforcement so working on my bach. in Biology. I'm also a firefighter with Spearfish so this should be a interesting winter.
Oh any I went to Newell lake once this summer and managed some eyes so it might produce some this winter also theres some decent pike in there too.

Anyways hopefully we'll be able to get out in a couple weeks, also i'm looking for a used flasher so get a hold of me if there's one for sale, not much in the for sale area.

Welcome! This is a pretty good site when I'm not getting flagged by the mods for my offensive language ha-ha. Anyhoo, yeah it would be great to get some walleyes at Orman this year, but I'm not very optimistic about any ice in the lower elevations. It's supposed to get cold next week, so lets hope it stays that way. I got a limit of perch at Sheridan last Saturday and the ice was just forming by the hiway. That's a good sign as it is right on time. I tucked my boat away this afternoon... :'(  but now it's clobberin' time on some ice fish!
