Thanks guys, I had this past week off and the weather was not cooperating to get out in the boat so I figured I would get a jump on getting ready for ICE.

Been getting ready also found some killer chains in grampas barn, got em cut size now gotta fit them up. Had an old phone holder in big rig I made a bracket for handle bars for iPhone-navionics will try and get a pic up when done. What's the pros and cons with carrying shanty piggy back versus towing???keep up the good work guys :o

Cons for draging are:

you have to travel slower
usually have to drag across bridges over pressure cracks
bumpy ice raises hell with anything in your shack
if your using a rope to pull shack it swings all over on bare ice
snow / slush from tires gets thrown onto/in shack if its close to back of wheeler (as in fixed hitch)

Pros for piggy back are:

faster travel
suspension lessens bumpy ice issues in shack
no tire spay on shack
shack can be left on the wheeler traveling to/from fishing spot
no issue backing up if needed

Last winter when there was slush on the ice it was getting kicked back on my shack and if I did not have the cover on it was a terrible mess inside the tub, I really hope this works out.
