Ok, here is our current concept design for the 2013 Apparel (sweatshirts/t-shirts/long sleeve t-shirts):

A little hard to see in the small image, there is a NYS jig that the pike is going after which also indicates the locations of the three events. We're currently thinking of having all apparel black with this image either on the front or back (for our general line), then having some premium apparel items that are spiced up (like with writing down the sleeves and/or additional images, colors, etc.) like this:

What do you think?  @)

Look great Tim. The pike in the weeds I think could be a bit more mean or pike like??? It kinda looks like a bass turn IMO. Other than that stellar love the state flag with tourney spots and writing down the sleeve also.

Tonight we are pleased to announce another large sponsor for the Series:
Bass Pro Shops is now on board!!  Details will be worked out over the next couple months. We are also going to be scheduled for seminars during their Ice Fishing Weekend event December 8th & 9th. This is also when we will be doing a meet-n-great for those of you who would like to chat with us about the series. Gander Mountain is also doing their Ice Fishing event like last year the same weekend and Scott from makiplastic has offered to take our fliers there with him. So whichever event you go to, you can get some information. We'll be doing some kind of giveaway at the Bass Pro event, either gift cards or jiggin' rods or something along those lines.  @)

We'll be stopping by the hotels in the Webster area to see if we can swing some package deals and/or group discounts for our anglers. If we can swing anything, we'll post it tomorrow night!  @)

Thanks! We now have an amazing line-up of sponsors and these events are going to be nothing short of historic for NYS! However, it is going to be an extramely tight rope as we go through December, as we have close to $10,000 worth of supplies to acquire (trophies, flags, fish tank, etc.) where the funds have to come from anglers - we've invested close to $30k already and don't have the means to put anything more into it. So if you are thinking of fishing the events, please register now so we can have the funds to make these events as big, prize filled, entertaining, and rewarding as possible!  @) If everyone waits until the last minute, so will we on some of the items which may mean having to cut some things like the trophies - they can't be made in a couple days!!

In the upcoming weeks we will be adding a news feed on our website for updates and the latest news, finishing the event-specific web pages for hotel info, restaurants, and local maps, and listing payout structures based on participation numbers. This week there will also be the option to register for Warren's Hardwater Bow Out Tournament running concurrently with our Sodus Event. We will also be ordering a set of apparel so that we can post some photos as well as list them for purchase on our site.  @)

when will these be available for sale. Both are nice but I like the one with the writting down the sleeve. But sometimes less is better and also keeps cost down. It has to be more expensive to have the sleeves printed compaired to having just one print done on the front.

Yes, the final revision for the rules and regulations has been posted. Unless there is a major rule change or addition required, they are now set. I am revamping the site over the next few days, including the store, which will soon give options for all apparel items, Triple Crown Award, registration for Warren's Hardwater Blow Out Tournament, and dinner options if we can get them set this weekend.

The apparel will be available to purchase soon. All orders will be compiled and placed just prior to the tournament with all items purchased available at check in (no items will be shipped). We'll have all apparel items at the events for purchase as well, but quantity and sizes will be limited. There will be two lines (hopefully - still waiting to hear back from our printing company): a Basic and a Premium. The Basic will be just that - basic one print. The Premium will include additional graphics (like down the sleeves), colors, etc. and will cost more proportional to how much they cost to produce. Hopefully we will have this all set by this coming Monday! @)

7 weeks from tonight we will be in Tupper Lake starting to set up!!  :woot:

Yeah, we'd love to see more registrations for all three events in the Pro and Am divisions. We will be posting the Pro and Am registration deadlines soon for the three events - approximately 10 days before each event. It's amazing how much time this all takes!!  ::) But no worries, it's all coming together!! @)

This weekend:
-Finish revamping website (new pages created, Warren's Tourney Info, apparel added, news feed page, post tourney and registration flier files, etc.)
-Touch base with local hotels in Webster
-Start setting up radio ads and sponsorships
-Video tape promo's
-Submit forms for permits
-Order Scales and other supplies
-Order table cover(s)
-Contact possible sponsoring companies and touch base with others
-Finish creating paperwork (weigh-in forms, liability waivers, etc.)
-Update facebook
-Finish Apparel designs, get cost quotes, and order first set

We just received a huge promo package from the Chautauqua County Visitors Bureau including discounted hotel rates and information/promotion bags for our anglers!   We'll put all the details up on the website this weekend! @)

NOTE: Keep in mind, for the Chautauqua Lake Event, the huge Ice Festival is going on the same weekend, so many hotel rooms are already booked and the rest will go quickly!!

Gave the website a bit of a facelift today... @)  Added a news blog on the homepage and fixed and added a few things across the site. We ordered two new digital scales for weigh-ins that should be here Friday.  @)  This week we're hoping to get the apparel images/graphics done (we're awaiting some approvals for some sick graphics), and will be hitting the Sodus Bay area restaurants and businesses to see what we can acquire for our anglers!! ;D

I understand the date for Auburn BPS is Dec. 8th. Is there a best time to be there? Is there going to be a seminar or a general informational station? Looking forward to it...

We have yet to get the details on times, seminars, etc. When we receive that info I will pass it on in this thread as well as on our website and facebook page. Right now we are working on an awards display including a 10'x8' projection screen for graphics/photos/videos/etc. It's still in the design phase, but if we can swing it, it'll be nothing short of amazing!! I picked up a sweet projector tonight and will have to try it tomorrow during the daylight to see how it will perform on the display during the daytime before the awards ceremony.

On another note, our initial plan was to have a display tank custom made to hold the largest fish for our display. With the other costs mounting exponentially, that option will likely have to wait until next year's events. So, does anyone have any ideas what we could use for a tank that would have a low cost associated with it? Or does anyone have anything we could use for the season? Any ideas/thoughts would be appreciated! It would have to be at least 4'x2'x2' and be able to hold water (of course). @)

Again, if anyone has any connections with companies that might be willing to sponsor the series (or an event), please drop me a PM with the details and contact information! Radio ads will be starting in Mid-December across the Adirondacks on the following: Y106.3 (WYZY-FM, 105.9-Plattsburgh, 106.5-Saranac Lake), ROCK105 (WLPW-FM Lake Placid, WRGR-FM Tupper Lake), and WNBZ (AM 1240 Saranac Lake, AM 920 Lake Placid).  @)

Well, that didn't take long before we have some more good news! Aqua-Vu has upped their sponsorship with yet another Micro unit, except this one will be the Micro Plus DVR unit!! The details of how we'll be giving this one out are still being finalized, but will have something to do with the largest perch caught during the series of events! @)

Well, if we have an early ice season we'll be good to go, otherwise we'll hold the event solely on Raquette Bay at the north end of the lake which freezes regularly since it is not nearly as deep. Not the best option, but we want our anglers to be safe during our event and we'll do what's necessary. Our main ice access and display will be at the ballpark, so it will work out either way. Time will tell!! @)

***HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT***

We have a new sponsor that is going to make our apparel amazingly cool!! Savage Gear has allowed us to use their fish images in our apparel graphics! This will allow us to have a general line (with a simple one-color graphic) and a premium line with full color and multiple images. If you have not heard of Savage Gear, they are a European company associated with Okuma that and they are being introduced to the US this coming year. They feature lures and tackle primarily targeted towards Pike, Muskey, Walleye, and perch. You can check them out at: www.savage-gear.com

Over the next few days we will finalize the graphics while getting your feedback. Here are some of our initial designs:

What do you think? One thought was to make each fish design associated with one event: the walleye for Tupper Lake, perch for Chautauqua, and pike for Sodus, and the series design could be the one with all three. Thoughts?

Also, should we have the year printed on them or not? Ideally we'd say no, so that if we have any left over we can use them the following year, but we'll do what everyone wants!! @)  Maybe sell the extras for 1/2 off next year or something... ::)

For the general line, we would go with the image I posted earlier with the pike going after the NYS jig, or with this one:
