Has anyone ever targeted whitefish at Washington park or at portage river walk? Or brown trout? In open water

Picked up some whitefish in December at washington park. Spawn on the bottom, Ive got browms in the past this time of year throwing an orange cleo or crawlers on the bottom.

do good on browns this time of year with orange cleos and have had some days where i wouldnt get em on anything but an orange reef runner...

Just like Dakota said spawn on the bottom I have caught a few at mc pier early last spring.

dont forget to lay a smelt out there on the bottom too.....
in the cold water browns tend to stay on the bottom and act like swimming garbage cans.
