Most crappie guys wouldn't share that type of info on here anyways.

I won't say the "word", but I can tell you I didn't catch any. It wasn't for lack of tryin. Jigged from noon till almost 5 yesterday targeting panfish. Tried almost everything in the box. Eventually got sick of tying on jigs. The Vex was marking fish ALL DAY! Very frustrating! Went home with only 6 sunnies. Through back a bunch of dink perch. Fished in about 7 fow.

That's why I don't use those things. Ruins the excitement of ice fishing kinda. It's more fun figuring out where the fish are by yourself.

but think of how much fun you could have knowing they are there but you can't catch them, the vex will show their weekness and put motr fishon the ice!

Got 1 season under my belt with the Vex and putting more fish on the ice has normally been the case. But yesterday was just another story I guess.

Coming up to fish in tourney. Any advice on where to stay that is reasonable and close to the site.
Sounds like a good tourney. Hope the fish are kind to novices for this lake

Icecold, you can try Holiday Harbor a few miles to the south of Dillenbeck in North Hero. They are nice people and they sell bait. http://www.holidayharborlodge.com/
