Just an FYI IS community -  I was not and never will be someone to harass another man.

I did not agree with the closing and cold feet, I do understand your job and apologize.  You did not have to make it sound like I harassed you.

Anyone out there today? I was thinking of trying tomorrow but think i might have to wait till Thursday
good move there. I was fishing there in the deeper water with my partner on sunday 15 to25 fow. Like some other said there is open water out there. I was thinking about that when we had a little blast of snow starting to cover the wet/open water spots. Use extreme caution when going out. Use a spud, bring a friend im not going till first light sat morning. Stay on top.good luck

I was thinking about heading out tomoro as well, but I think I will wait until Thursday. A couple days/nights of below freezing temps should tighten it up enough I think. I will be the big guy in brown bibs by Macks in front of the star house somewhere. Stop by and BS for a bit if ya like.

Ice-Ape, call me. I'm open tomorrow or Thursday. I might take a ride up there tomorrow morning and check things out.

Does anyone know how the ice held up?I was thinking of making the 60 mile trip down this afternoon, but don't want to waste the gas if the ice is not fishable.Any info would be great, feel free to PM me if you wish so we are not clogging up the thread.

Ice is good, 3-1/2"+. With the cold temps tonight we should be good to go for a while. Good day today with 50 Gills and 1 big Crappie.

FROM THE AVON ANGLERS WEB SITE

Avon Anglers  Present Elite 3 Man Team Event
                                                 Silver Lake Feb 11, 2012

Registration to be held at the trident marine  6 am to 7am.

Tournament hours 7am-2pm must be at weigh in by 2:30 weigh in to be held at trident marine

 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can someone please help me out here?  Is there a Trident Marine on Silver Lake? I've been fishing Silver for many years and I don't know of a Trident Marine on Silver. The only Trident Marine I know of is on Honeoye Lake. So does this mean I have to drive to Honeoye to register and then drive to Silver to fish and then back to Honeoye for the weigh in.

If this is the way this tournament is being put on, then I just can't picture myself entering it.

Just got back, ice is 4-5 like she said.  Bite is slow, not going back for a while.  Probably an easy 50 people out of macks.

Any updates on the tourney on Satuaday?  Would consider fishing Silver (not the tourney) but don't want to be fighting for ice space.
