Jiffy 30 series gear bent?
« on: Jan 03, 2012, 12:33 PM »
So i went out there other day, the motor ran like a champ like it has for the past 13 years and it turned about 1.4 times then the gearbox seized, i opened it up, the clutch looks mint, however when i have the pinion gear and main gear together it sticks about every 1.4 turns as i reset it in place, it appears that the pinion gear is bent, now before i go buy a new one is there anything else i should check? There were 2 bolts laying in the clutch housing after i opened it up with what looked to be rounded ends (not the heads) any ideas of what i should check would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Ryan.

kinda bored @ work ;). here's where you can get your answers:SASKATOON THE FISHIN HOLE
805 CIRCLE DR E 306.545.7223 THE FISHIN HOLE. i'm not fmiliar with the Jiffy's,but is sound like it could be repaired for less than a new one.
