Come on up an join the mayhem and debauchery! There are a few spots on the lake where you can get out of the wind a little. South end of Mayhew Island is one. Usually good perch and rainbow fishing there.

hate to be the "bad-news" guy.....but the wind pushed the ice further south this afternoon...no ice at cummings beach.....

I would expect Bristol Bay to grow 3" of ice tonight. possibly have 6"+ by Thursday. I usually go for rainbows.
I invested in going for Lakers this year(a few jig rods and a bunch of bucktails), but I think it's going to be one of those years to target Rainbows again.

the bay partialy caught today, wich had alot of "junk ice" that the wind broke away from the original ice......ice got pushed back about 150 yrds past cummings

I saw someone with a portable venturing out up on the north end this afternoon. There was ice but not very far out.

I drove to Sleepy Hollow and there is some thin ice around the shore edges but a big open spot right in the middle. Nothing I could stand on just yet.

Thought I was gonna be able to set out a tip up or two for a couple of hours but no dice.....I mean not enough ice.

newfound is junk......even wondering if were going to get the houses out this jan.......
fishing lake x saturday with bucktail, and company...to catch some crappie.....
then possibly going to lake x to join taint on sunday...(heard a rumor hes launching his new house), and catch something....

Went by today on my way home from Lake LMNOP. Open water everywhere, depressing. Hope we can get them out for the derby.

It all got pushed back to the foot of the lake where it was open before. I wonder if we'll be able to fish over there soon?
It's cold and not windy here...I hope it's the same there right now.

Working till noon Saturday. If your Lake X is the one I'm thinking, I was gonna head there afterwards. That's the one I was supposed to fish Monday but had to bring wet-leg boy home because he tried to jump to the ice instead of using the plank.

I have to drive the Dodge so I have no room for my portable. I had picked up a PakShak for $10, so I stuffed that in the bed of the truck to have a porta-potty.

Sounds like it'll be fishing from the skybox seats for me this weekend.

I'll have to ask Patslady to make Italian sausage and meatballs with stuffed shells.
