Never fished here.  I bought a ticket for both Fish for a Cure and the Crystal Lake Derby to support both causes.  Most likely will end up fishing for Pike.

The more the merrier, you know at any given point of time you could have a giant on the end ripping out line time and time again. Plus the derby is for a great cause and run very well, great times and cant wait myself... This is the year of the scambadog ::)

good evening fellow shanty members I hope you all have a wonderfull and safe new years eve.  Myself and 3 friends are heading up to sabattus for the tournament on the 28th of january.  My questions are if you have fished this tournament before how busy was the lake? This will be our first time up there on this lake.  We fish hard down here in the little old state of RI but thought this tourny would be a great way to fish an unknown lake and help support the cause.  Any info or stories of past events would be greatly appreciated.  Hotel rooms are booked, tilts are ready , augers are set etc.......   can you tell i am Looking forward to this trip I NEED IT BAD !!!!!!! lol

It is usually quite busy and well supported, however there are a bunch of derbies, some quite high profile going on that same weekend, so only time will tell which derby is supported the most.

Has Sabattus started freezing up yet for the derby? Only 25 days away looking at the extended forecast doesn't look like people will be driving out there this year.
