Delorme pn40 gps

hey guys  ,

just got my delorme pn4 and have been playing with it a bit. any suggestions you gps gurus might have to make this thing as idiot proof as possible? will definately be using the navi premium ship in it. one question i have is do i need to store  the supplied Topo na 9 pre-cut maps to the units internal drive when im using the navionics lake map? or am i just overlaying the contour lake map over the satelite image?

I just got one this fall and it looks like everything is just overlaying layers. When you're in your maps, hit the menu button to turn those topo and navi layers on/off.
