My wife and I are driving up from Ft Wayne Indiana to attend the St Paul fishing show.  We moved from Farmington to Fort Wayne in 1988.  So this is our 1st trip back and we are wondering if someone can let us know what ice conditions are.  We would like to get in some ice fishing Saturday.  It will be a least another month before we have ice here.  A nice pan fish lake would be great.  Willing to travel out from the Twin Cities.  Thanks in advance and feel free to PM me.  Phil

sorry man, no ice..... i am in rochester mn, about an hour south and we have has some small ponds get thin sheets over cold nights, but they melt during the day mostly.. i havent seen any ice in the cities either yet, cant imagine they have safe, walkable ice since last week when i was there.. so dont worry about iced over roads or anything, and dont worry about dragging your ice gear along with you- on the bright side, more room to drag new ice gear home with you!!!!!!

if anything changes i will let you know but as of now, no dice.
