Cluculz Squad updates/fish reports 2011-2012

Drove out to Cluculz yesterday to find the ice rotting quickly. There were lots of bright blue water patches stretching across the lake in the wide parts, looks like it could go quick this year.

Elected to go to Norman instead. Ice was great. Managed to get a couple small ling in about 20 feet of water before dark but caught lots of rainbows and peamouth during the day. The peamouth are full of eggs and preparing to spawn, but the ling are few and far between.

That might be it for me. Time to start organizing the open water gear

still couple feet of snow in my hard so will be a few weeks for sure...

yeah your probably right, but on Friday afternoon there were several huge bright blue pools of water stretching almost all the way across the lake in the Camp Lever area in the middle portions of the lake. Saw lots of guys fishing still, so I have no doubt the ice was safe, but it looks like it could go quick. I don't remember huge deep puddles of water on the lake at this time last year, but I could be wrong.

forecast showing highs of 15- that will soften up everything- still gettin fairly cool but couple weeks so the soft water gears very close...

I met up with SalmonCandy today on CooCoo,  the ice was beautiful in the morning, and the weather was great

I didnt do any fishing, (I dont have a licence yet)   but SC caught a nice 9 pounder, and my other buddie I hung out with this afternoon caught a few hogs, 7 pounders.   the kokanee are spawning right now, and the Burb are gorging on their eggs, and the fish as they die.    Lots of ice left,  20 inches.   we should have a little lottery on when the ice is going to be out,   I say May 1st

Weather networks showin high of 15 tomoro,-thats as hot as me in a speedo! --Then fire in a lil wind and lil rain next day, youll be waterskiing on the 25th, maybe if i get that speedo on even sooner

   oh,  dude,   Noone needs to see that,   I hope it stays frozen til August to avoid seeing that on my lake
