J-wheels
« on: Nov 16, 2011, 08:26 AM »
Hey guys, sorry to change the topic, but has anyone or does anyone know anyone who picked up a set of those J-wheels?

They are for quads, and they just look awesome!! Better than any track system, and at a fraction of the cost!  My good friend Freddy sent me a link about them a while back, they look and sound very impressive!

Some of the info on them says they've had to use these things on quads to actually tow SLEDS off and out of slush pits! :o

If you go to their site, you can see various videos of these things in action, pretty sweet!

I watched the video. I want to hear from somebody that's used them too. Looks like a neat idea..... Just wondering how they hold up.

I dont think they will be that great in a heavy slush.  I saw the video and was not 600.00 impressed with them.  I think they need more surface area the other way like tracks do.

I talked to a dealer, he said they have sold a few sets and everybody is impressed. He was selling them for the same price Jwheelz had listed on their site.

They look pretty awesome.

The fins that add traction are interchangeable. You can get more aggressive fins that just slide on before you install the wheel.

I have laid aside business, and gon' a fishin!

Doesn't look like theres much that can stop em!  I think the displacement on the weight over surface contact makes them just ride over and/or through just about anything. PLUS they make just about all quads float, which I think would make them even more efficient going through deep slush. Maybe I'm wrong...

When the Ice Men were here a couple of years ago they were getting stuck in the deep slush with them. The only people that got anywhere on a machine were using snowmobiles or ATVs with tracks. Most were walking to where they fished.

I didn't watch the qualifier in person, but this is what they showed on their video. We had deep snow on top of slush that weekend.
