Best Walleye Lakes and Lures
« on: Nov 09, 2011, 12:04 PM »
Been in Marquette for 5 years, this will be my first year ice fishing up here.....

What are the hottest lakes close to Marquette for Walleye?
What are the best Walleye lures/rigs to use in this area?

Any good Perch Spots as well?

Have always read "decent" reports on the Bay de Nocs in Escanaba for the 'eyes...call the bait shops down there...sure they'd be glad to help

Yes, I've fished Little bay de noc twice, (and more to coming this winter) lots of area to cover but only about an hour drive from MQT. Bayshore bait shop in Kipling should be some help to you if you give them a call.

When I walleye fish I almost exclusively fish LBDN. The fishing can be tough out there but with some time you can find the fish and theres always the possiblility of running into a hog down there. As far as lures go a #3 or #5 jigging rap is my go to lure along with tip ups
