This is how to end the day!

I just want to start by saying how georgous it was today on the ice and I hope we get a few more days like this. My buddy and i fished out at the Hillbilly Hotel today with Big Ben, Wildvermontfisherwoman, woodyVT, fishercat and a few other friends. My buddy and I could only fish today so we chose not to buy into the Rozzi's derby................. ...............Big mistake! It was a pretty slow day and around 2:00 my buddy had a flag pop and after he played it for a few minutes i heard "Get the Gaff!!". He landed this beautiful 37" 13.90lb fish, his personal best. It's now on it's way to the taxidermist,also heard of a 16lb northern coming off of the sandbar today.

A great time was had by all......no wind and even got sunburn!

My nephew had an absolute blast for his first ever ice fishing derby (Rozzies) to which he won first in the perch category!  He is ready for next year and cant wait to come up again.

Check in was at 2:00 I believe. He saved$20.
Thanks for the pic. wan't to come over for a peek but the wife and kids were out in the afternoon.
Any ice fishing day that ends with sunburn is a great day.
