What are you driving? Will you drive on the ice or walk? Your vehicles ground clearance and whether it's 2 or 4WD can make a difference in where you try and fish.
I usually fish out of Brownlows landing on the south end of the lake, 5 minutes east of Bentley on highway 12 you'll see the sign, turn north and follow the road into the lake. The access gets pretty rutted, I haven't been out there in a few weeks so I can't saw what condition it's in, odds are it's fine for trucks but cars and vans might be too low to the ground.
