couldn't find my tourney card or my digital when i got this pike up on the ice was around -30 so only managed a quick still with a friends camcorder and a measurement before release, was a thick 44". was caught on a dead tullibee on janurary 2nd.

Nice one MeadowPikeman...I expect the tourney pike category to start filling up once this cold spell lifts and people feel more comfortable themselves and easier on the fish that are released.
That's what the "Great White North" is all about.

I gotta commend ya for your catch & release ethic. Too many people are way too into self-accomplishment (aka pride) to not put a fish like that in danger. Way to go, & congrats on the catch!

have seen too many fisheries go to crap over people keeping too many big pike so unless i get one 50"(for a mount) or over they are all going back to live to get bigger hopefully. would be nice to get a big one entered in the tourney but its not worth killing a big fish over thats for sure.

Well said and great job on the quick release that is truly a great example for the kids and for everyone for that matter looking towards the future and releasing the big girls will ensure great trophy fishing for many years to come!!!

You guys in Canada have all the luck ... j/k ... nice job meadowman , like i said before the toruney opened up my bet is someone from Canada will take this one ... and if this weather holds that may just be the case ... hopefully we all will have ice soon
