Lindy darters
« on: Feb 08, 2011, 07:02 AM »
I just purchased a pack of 4 lindy darters. Anyone having any luck on them.
I see alot of hype on the salmo, but not much on the lindy.

It's becuase there are times when the hype on the Salmo Chubby Darter lives up to it.  I'm still waiting for the Lindy Darter to produce...two seasons and counting...

I have only caught fish (pike and trout no eyes yet) on the lindy not the salmo. I think the fish like the rattle

I grasped that concept already. I was only posting saying that they catch fish. No need to be condescending.

It's good to know that they do catch fish. I'm happy with any fish on the end of my line.

I caught a few eyes, and perch on mine, I used the glow chartruese (spelling?) .  It seems the only way they would take it is if I was frantically jigging off bottom a few inches and then lifting and jiggling it to produce the rattle.  Not the best hook but caught a few on it.

lindy darters just dont cut it.  go with a rattlin flying spoon you will have much better results.  I could attract fish with the darter just couldnt get them to bite.  I could get them over but they would then go after my rap on my other line.

Don't recall catching any walleyes on it, but I use the smallest size with great success on perch.

Really can't see why a Lindy Darter doesn't produce for me, but I've iced 'eyes, perch, bass and crappie on the Chubby this year already.

the lindy darter would work great as a walleye attracter, it has a great tight wobble and sound that will draw fish in. One of the best Walleye anglers I know uses a few lipless cranks as an attraction bait, when the fish moves in, he drops that rod and moved to a jigging wrap.

I have landed a few (not a lot) of walleye on the chubby but none on the lindy.. i have my eye on a new one, and once i see it in a store I will posts some pics
