Yeah not in this case. Another lake I frequent though which has crystal clear water the fish do spook. They eventually return so no big deal. Just the price you pay for ice fishing..

Thats just crazy... I been catchin them like that but they all were babies... Hope to get some in the frying this winter.. Never tasted "ICE" CRAPPIE or fish period from the ICE yet

i dont think ive ever seen fish that thick, unless maybe smelt. around here they stick to the bottom and dont do that. thats just awesome. would be a day of a lifetime on the ice to stay and fish a school like that for the day

I had the same experience this weekend.......even over a couple pallet cribs. Dropped the camera in and could not believe what I saw.....crappie & bluegill were everywhere. Most of the crappie were lockjawed, but we manage a few keepers and our limit on bluegills. My 9 year old daughter had a blast. She actually picked the spot out of the blue. I didn't even know this crib existed and I have been fishing this pond for years.

I marked the spot on my gps, removed any evidence of us being there, and went on my merry way until next time.......

Thats insane!!!
last year we drilled a hole and as we pulled the auger out we had perch just bubbling to the surface. Gotta wonder if thats what it looked like under the ice.

exactly! people think the auger will scare fish off. lol sometimes i think it has turned them on or stirred them up!
