Some nice togue (pics)
« on: Jan 15, 2011, 06:20 PM »
JDK, teampar, and I had a great day on the ice. The action was steady all morning and slowed down this afternoon. For some reason we had a pile of hit and runs.  ??? We ended the day with 10 togue and 4 brookies and 1 smelt. Teampar had the biggest togue which he has pics of.

I caught this togue in 3 FOW  :o I thought I had a huge brookie on.

With you guys in there, they didn't have a chance. ;D

Nice fish, glad to see the fishing is still good there. It's been a long time since I went North, so it sure brings back some nice memories for me. :)

I could never understand their feeding habits, I can see where Matt K. was surprised on that togue. :)

Great day guys!!
That's the fun with lake trout, sometimes theres no rhyme nor reason to what they want, where they are or if they are biting. Why I find them so challenging. A lot of guys say they are easy, but I've never found that to be true.

Really like the dark color on the togue! @)

Hit and runs are not in short supply for me either this year.  More than once, jigging has saved my butt when the trap bite has been frustrating.

Yup it is extremely frustrating when you get to the trap and it has 75 yards of line gone and nothing to show for it.  :%$#!:

MGK for I.S. Best Dressed Fisherman of the Year..... fishing in a collared shirt!    You've got way more fashion sense than them other two tag-a-longs. ;D

I'm dissapointed in you boyz for not making a trip to Staples prior, you know the approaching f.m. always leads to the dreaded "short strike", the "Buddah band" would have doubled your catch rate for the day. ;)

Great outing as always gents, can't wait to stop working weekends and "hook up" with ya.  @)

Eric if you would call in sick some weekend you could come give us a lesson on the "Buddah bands"! I know that the fashion sense may not be there but we more than make up for it with good looks!!  :roflmao:

I got a kick out of the collared shirt too. i haven't figured out the rubber band trick yet, but i haven't had much of a problem with hit and runs yet, but i am sure it will happen. How do you blur the background of the picture like that? thats a great idea for not giving away the location of your honeyhole.
