That would be a good idea. It should get some of the Eastern folks interested.
Either lake is good with me....as long as we catch Crappie!!
What else is there for fish in those lakes besides Crappie?
Right near the highway, easy for everyone to get to, sounds like a winner to me!
Let do Hermon and the day is
Hey, How 'bout Hermon Pond or Fields Pond? 29th or 30th? There are other places, but these have parking and access. Fields is pretty small, but nice crappies. Hooked something pretty bigthere last year. Couldn't move or turn it with 2# test, being as gentle as possible. I imagine it was a decent bass. I've never had a problem like that lmb up to 15" or so. Somehow my last post got folded in with bee's. Is it because of similar titles?Hope a few of us can make it!
If you come south bound from augusta on 95
For you southerners, use your other south... A picture is worth how many words? Click > HERE Start with #8 or #9 in the directions.
Yes it is on the 30th, as for directions look for the town landing and thats how you get on hermon pond. My two red shacks will be staight out from the landing. If you come north bound from augusta on 95 you get off at carmel winterport exit take a right go about 1/8 mile take a left right after dysarts travel stop. When you take the left you will be following the interstate . At the stop sign ,which is about 1 1/2 miles you go left and go over the top of the interstate , keep straight till the road forks , you go right! After the right you go about 1 mile ,the road to pond is on right side, its a gated road but the gate is open. If you miss your turn to the pond you will go by the ski mountain, just turn there and come back!
