A couple of years back, my son tried to throw a scoop into the sled. It hit the ground near the sled, bounced off the sled, and out of thousands of acres of lake, it went down an 8" hole, perfectly. I have also had to tighten the bolt on my LazerMag between the auger and power head. Has anyone ever lost an auger down hole?

I had the same thing happen with an ice scooper. My buddy lost a jigging rod down a hole.

Just this past weekend my buddy tried to throw me his plyers from about 10 ft. away,they went right in my jigging hole.

2 years ago I got a new leatherman for Xmas and the 1st time I brought them ice fishing my buddys freind dropped them in a hole

I have never lost anything down the hole. Last year in Colorado, though, I watched a guy drop a brand new $60.00 Leatherman Wave down the hole. Ouch!

Just today a friend that I was pike fishing with set his jigging rod in his wire bend rod holder and came over to shoot the ***t for a bit and someone yelled flag as we watched his rod pulsate and then fly down the 8" hole over 12 FOW. Now the cool part was that another buddy told us he was going to jig it back up for him and we said whatever. Low and behold up comes the jigging rod not 2 minutes later. I guess the cork handle kept it neutrally bouyant and the fish must've dropped the sucker so the rod just sat in suspended animation waiting for buddy to jig it up. I was thoroughly impressed!

many scoops, minnow nets, a few rods, an auger

(not my fault, i swear!). The other day my friend dropped his girlfriend's cellphone down the hole. The funniest thing though was the evening before the whitney point perch derby, a friend of "Fishingking" dropped his mini maglight down the hole - WHILE it was still on - the thing lit up the holes for a few hours!!

I lost a nice jigging pole.The fish yanked it out of the pole holder while I was checking my tipups.I also sent my icespud to the bottom of the lake when I lost my grip on it.

I lost a wooden jigging stick last winter. While trolling the same lake this summer I caught a different jig stick on my downrigger ball.

Nice Motorola FRS radio with FM radio. Sunglasses.... I carry a powerful magnet with me in case of metallic loss. Poop happens, nice if you can recover.

There are two types of ice fishermen,those that have lost stuff and those that will.I've lost 1 rod,cig lighters,himostats,pliers,depth finders and a ham sandwich $:-\$ .My wife lost a lighter that had a sterling siver and turquois(sp)cover.

Never lost anything down a hole. Last year I was fishing from my Kayak with my St. Croix in a rod holder, trolling a rap (for walleye, right at sunset), had a tiger muskie hammer the rap and ripped my rodholder and rod off my kayak and right into the drink. Saw the fish jump when he hit it, that's how i know it was a muskie. Pretty expensive mistake.

A watch my girlfriend bought me went down the hole yesterday when the band broke while scooping out a hole. I heard a splash and seen a flash and it took me about 5 minutes to figure out what it was....

My schrade lockback with a rosewood handle, I misplaced this knife for about 4 years, finally found it in a backpack at my parents house. Took it with me ice fishing the next day. Ya, dropped it in a spear hole and watch it propeller away into the darkness. I just wasn't meant to hang onto that knife.
