N Monpelier general store was selling bait for a season or two. Rick Richardson is selling bait about 7-8 miles
away in Calais 456-1152

Actually, Arkansas Shiner is the "nickname", Golden Shiner is the proper name and the name the state uses, you'll find.

I'm talking the 10inch pond shinners. Also known as golden shinners! How big are the "goldens" at this new place

They have heavy mediums ($7,00 doz) and medium goldens ($5.00 doz) . Price of the big stuff was very high, I guess?

I was told the same thing about big "pike size" bait. But the place has good bait and ice cold tanks, so the bait lives good, plus they are usually open early.  ;D They have a sign up that says they'll be open extra early (before 5:00 AM) opening weekend of trout too. They open early weekends also.

I was given hours and phone numbers then was told to call if I needed bait earlier or later than they are open. They got my business!
