Walleye mount pics
« on: Dec 23, 2010, 12:31 PM »
Finally got my walleye back.  I caught this fish on Pere Marquette lake in Ludington on a tip up January 23rd, 2010.  It was 34" and 14lbs.  It's hanging in my garage that I built for it.

Thanks for all the nice comments.  I had to show that thing off, it is beautiful!  It was definitely all luck.  I caught it in about 40 fow just before dark.  That flag was producing a bunch of small northerns all day.  I was going to move it but i liked the action.  I couldn't get the picture of when i caught it to upload, but it is still in the walleye topic in the thread posting your biggest walleye pics.

Sooo lemme see...$3000 garage + $300 mount(+ or -) = 1 helluva price to pay for a plaque...yup...well worth the money.

NICE FISH! ;D ;D Last year I got a 10 pound 'eye on a lake I didn't know had walleye's while bass fishing.  It was a big suprise when I got it to the boat. I know what lake I'm going to try next....

Nice!  I'm glad someone is more computer literate than me.  After catching that walleye, i am chasing the eyes every chance i get.  Me and a buddy took a 3 day trip up to Muskegon lake to troll for eyes non stop.  No monster eyes, but we each got a master angler patch for freshwater drum.  Man, those are fun to catch.  There are some monsters in there.

I found a ship wreck on Erie once fishing for smallies. The thing was loaded with drum all about 10lbs plus....talk about a tight line!...Fish on!

By the way nice walleye....my biggest was 34 inches also many moons ago on Manistee lake...skinny fish though it weighed 10.25 lbs that fish you have again is .....awesome! Nice Job!

i'm tellin ya, those drums are fierce!  We are considering going back just for the thrill.  we were drift fishing with leeches on a jig head in June, which is when they spawn, and they were killin them.  I don't think we caught one under 7 pounds and they fight like crazy.  good times!
