L Champlain Bait shops

Question do all the "Lake Champlain only" bait shops sell just the
Arkansas shiners or are those shops allowed to trap native Champlain
bait to be used strictly on Champlain?  I have been fishing inland waters
and thinking I may fish more on Champ...

Champlain only Dealers  are able to harvest their own bait from Champlain and sell that for use ONLY on Champlain.They can also sell the arkansas shiners but they would only be good to use on Champlain..

Thanks I heard a season or two ago that one "Champlain only" dealer had smelt.
I would love to use smelt and hunts again on Champlain.

hmm never heard of anywhere carrying smelt but I know a place that carries Hunts and Emeralds

Well I have cought about 20 - 25  northerns so far this year, and all the bait was from dockside.  They seam to like the bait I buy from Big Ben, but I don't know as much about walleye bait.
