Lake to hit in Alex area?

I got a job to do in the Alexandria area tomorrow and I'm hoping to be able to sneak off later in the day and try and get some fishing in. I'd probably be stoping by in my work truck with a limited amount of gear and I would like to find a lake that has a nice PA where my truck won't get messed with and won't get buried in snow and I can find decent fishing w/o having to walk half way across the ice.
Now I'm not looking for anyone to give up their "hot spot" nor am I out to "burn" anyones spot. But if anyone can recomend a lake worth trying perferably northwest of Alex not to far off I-94, I would greatly appreciate it as I don't get to fish that area too often. If you see a guy fishing with a white service truck off the PA stop by and say hi! I'll be the goof tall sob out there.
