Went to pathy today, the sweetwater arm is froze from just past bishops on, 3 inches is what i was on today, good clear hard ice. It was completly open from Bishops up as far as i could see, I didn't go to the damn so I'm not sure if it's frozen in there.
Fishin was alright, Iced a few nice trout(yuck ;D) and 2 16' walleye, only one other truck out there that i could see.
I'd rather do it on the ice

I'd rather do it on the ice

Thanks chief.....I had heard a few different things from "not-so-reliable" sources.....hate to waste time and fuel if things are to thin....

Thanks for the report and especially the photo. Looks like I need to check all my gear this weekend, bring the auger out of hibernation and charge up the flasher....

Drove by these lakes yesterday .sweetwater arm still looks like its capped pretty well from the road.what you can see from the HW the rest of its wide open.were gonna take a ride out tommorrow and look alittle closer around the dam area.Had a buddy fish alcova last sunday from the boat.said there was zero ice on it.they did real well in the canyon for trout

If you run up the sweetwater arm there is ice - we were nervous when we got to bishops and saw all the open water - but we ended up on a good 6" where we fished - we were throwing trout back after 3.5 hours as we would have limited out - in all caught 22 fish, not one walleye.  My buddy smokes and pressure cooks/cans the trout - awesome.
Didn't get out today like I had hoped, still trying to find a hole for some walleyes.

Seminoe??? - Have not heard any ice reports - does anybody know where to get minnows for Seminoe?
Alcova - I don't think we'll see fishable ice on there until January - looked all open last week
wishin I was ice fishin
