just curious, are those fish suspended over the main basin or holding shallower and what are you using on your tip-ups for them? would love to figure out how to catch them in the ponds here in NY

actually caught all of them jigging in about 2-4ft of water although the action was not furious by any means. just had the tip up in there for reference. caught them all on a firetiger fiskas.

I've seen you post some nice fish pics, If you don't mind my asking, those from out of state or just way up Northern Maine?

I wish I could fish my big brookie lakes in the winter, but a 10 mile hike in 12 ft. of snow where nobody fishes isn't my kind of thing

i don't usually plan my trips too far ahead just usually go out on a whim. probably try for some trout again early next week but will more than likely go for pike once or twice before next week. the trout fishing has slowed down a lot so probably will start concentrating on perch and pike for the next few months.
