 :-\  I plan on going out on first Ice to catch some trout, as I have NEVER CAUGHT A TROUT BEFORE....

Any tips, ideas, any general help at all will be GREATLY appreciated....

 Go back to the main page and scroll down to the trout board.  I've received some tips there.  Also look at the northeastern coast state's boards, I've read threads on many states and provinces boards and learned about trout.

Hey, I grew up in Michigan but now live in Colorado. Out here we use Ratsos, RatFinkees, Genz Gloworms, and Swedish Pimples with wax worms or PowerBait Trout Dough. Guess the same thing would work in Michigan that works in the mountains. Minnows should work but we can't use live minnows out here.
