Wife thinks I am sick.

I am sure that I am sick. For the past few day I have been putting new line on rods. Fixing ice gear. Even took the motorcycle on a 200 mile ride to Cabelas just to see what kind of ice gear they had out. When I do take a break it to get on IS and see how things are going. I HAVE ICEFISHINGFEAVER BAD.

That's what my wife and family says too but I would rather be sick doin what I love then sittin on my butt at home watching Tv

Same thing here. The wife doesn't understand why I spend all this time, and more "importantly" money, on stuff that takes me out onto a frozen lake in the freezing cold. Some people will never understand....oh well. Leaves more fishing room for us  ;D

Mine thinks I'm tottally nuts! I ordered $73 worth of jigs late summer and the temp outside was 92 degrees..

I second that! Thankfully I think it would take her too long to train in a replacement so she puts up with my illness.

I'm with you man, She is so used to me getting ready for ice fishing months in advance that she makes sure all the outside work is done in September. I have been doing this for so long, she doesn't even say anything anymore.

You're sick?  My wife and I leave for our honeymoon in Belize in 14 days.  How bad is it that I'm not nearly as excited to go sit on a tropical beach and do married stuff with my wife as I am to get back on November 25 and hit the ice on Nov 26.     

I bet I'll have the best tan on the ice!

3 weeks ago I bought a quad for ice fishing, This past weekend I went through all my stuff and got it ready including making a tow bar for my shanty.  I just got a bunch of new jigs in the mail this week from JamminJigs as well.  It's all in the garage now in buckets and on the trailer ready to go! 

so.. yea, my wife thinks quite disturbed.

I bought my new shanty on July 22nd cause it was on sale!  It was 94 that day.  Wife just shook her head. LOL

Just looked at NOAA's ice and snow map and was pleased.  The girlfriend says I gotta be the only person that's happy to see that winter's coming on fast.  I know there's plenty of like minds here though.... ;D

I ordered up jigs over a week ago, put my ice gear in the truck for the season, and bought a new showdown and power auger last night.    I still have stuff on my list to buy for this season.
