Alright so I know that hunting season just started but man I need some ice really bad right now $:-\$ . I just keep telling my self that when hunting season is over the ice will start to build but then again maybe we will get lucky and it will start before season is over.

Well surflizard at least is ice and a lake. hooker1 you are definatly not the only one I start thinking about ice fishing in like July it drives my husband crazy.

Wish I could that is for sure but no Archery hunting for me this year. Threw my arm out in a softball tournament and messed it up pretty good. I am hoping to fill most of my licenses early but one never knows and like last year my tags were filled but I had wait on my husband to fill his......

Haha very clever surf. I can't wait. I think as soon as I see ANY ice I am gonna poke a hole and drop a line. I think I saw an orange leaf today so that is a good sign...

Cold today and I fired up the propane furnace in the basement which will run until next April. Earliest ever.

Won't be long now.

Although I'm still into fishing mode with the boat hopefully a month or month and a half away from winterization. Love to fish/camp/boat this time of year.

Then hunting mode.

Then icefishing mode. Last year the first week in December.

I am glad that you had fun captain stubie we had a blast just wish we could have shot at some more ducks but there is always next time. As for ice fishing I am with you there I think about as soon as we can't get on the ice anymore. I do know that we will all have to make it back up to picshkin this again and actually fish together this time

Hard to say. You are in a tough spot for pike. You are going to have to go to Peck, Nelson, or travel over towards Salmon and Seely lake. I hear people catch a few out of Canyon Ferry, but it doesn't happen enough to try and do it on purpose.

Chuck, if you're looking for Pike try the East Gallatin the the missouri above Toston Dam. I live in Bzm as well, so hit me up with a PM if you want more info.
