I'll be pleased with some jumbo gills, yellow perch, and black and white crappie.  I quit fishing for trout under the ice cause I enjoy the panfish a little more but I'm sure I'll nab a few rainbows as well.  Nothing beats crappie fillets in the winter time.  Goodluck

I plan to start out targeting bluegill.  When I get tired of that........

Who am I kidding?  I'll be after gills all season just like every other year.

I'm sure I'll throw in a couple tip-ups and maybe catch a pike or bass, maybe go after perch a dozen times, but other than that I'll spend the winter looking for the next Wisconsin state record bluegill.

I'll be searching for time to get out on the ice, but then I'l be fishing for any thing that will bite - hopefully brook trout, togue, brown trout, splake, pickerel, white perch, bass, whitefish, cusk, pike, and maybe a yellow perch for a hockey game.  ;D

Like Mr. G. - Perch, Walleye and pike, and maybe crappie (fishing for them isn't the same as catching them, because I've never caught a crappie yet).

Monophil, I'm sure we can get you into some crappie...a warning though, they are addictive.

Anyway, I've already caught rainbows and brooks this winter (first trout ever), I'll likely target crappie, perch...after that, like others have said, whatever bites...depending where I go, I'd like to get into walleye, pike, burbot, maybe other flavours of trout, and a few other species we have in our waters.

I'll try to get the kids out more this winter, so we'll likely try to go perching more often to get them some success.

Looking mostly for Lake Trout and hoping to actually get a decent one this year, I just get tons of little ones usually. But love fishing for rainbows, browns, crappies, bluegills, walleyes, perch, and hopefully a few pike and catfish.

perch, walleye, some crappies would be nice, a few NP would be great, even better if I iced a few browns, rainbows or lakers, and still looking to ice a LL salmon, or maybe some tigers.
But, for sure perch and walleyes for the skillet.  ;D

I target walleye and perch only. All others are accidental. As long as I don't catch any green carp (bass) that's o.k.

Depending on which body of water freezes first, I will probably start with trout, then pike, then walleye. I'll do quite a bit of jigging in between chasing flags. We get a lot of perch, bass and crappie that way

Believe it or not pickerel is a main target for me, mainly because I know some excellent waters for them, and they are easy to catch, and I find them excellent eating. These are to fill the freezer. Jumbo perch are next on the list and then pike when I know they are in the lake I am fishing.

Definately perch and sunnies, and hopefully crappies but I haven't really done too well with them and don't really know where to get em.   Love to get lakers and rainbows browns, walleye would be nice, pickerel and pike would be a nice addictive for c/r, a first tiger would be sweet for a good pic and release, I would love to get a burbot for the first time!!!  lm or sm bass would be nice as they are legal to keep in the finger lakes, anything that will bite in other words... I love variety, but mostly perch and sunnies

Perch, crappies, gills, lakers, browns, LL atlantic salmon, pike, walleyes, maybe a tiger...oh yeah, and some huge golden shiners, for pike/tiger bait ;D I wouldn't mind (actually, I'd love) catching a nice LM or SM bass, but I can't fish for em so.......I'll have to see if any accidents happen. ??? ::)

I mainly go for trout. But I will be concentrating on perch, crappie, gills, and pike this year. They all make for a tug on the line.
Many are cold, but few are frozen

First ice I'm going for trout, maybe this year I'll catch one.  Only fished for trout once with no luck.  Then I'll  mostly perch fish with some gill fishing mixed in.
