You might try dakins lake northeast of zearing on 710th I camped there 2 years ago while working in the area. nothing big but helped pass the time.fairly easy to get to
my Holiday on ice has nothing to do with a mouse or an auditorium

This is an easy one......make the trip up to brushy.  Best time to fish is during low light periods.  Either early AM or somewhere between 3-6.
Why can't I just go to work and think that I've been fishing all day?

I went to Dakins last week and I don't think its been plowed all winter as it looked like 6-8' deep in the driveway.  From  Ia Falls theres Beeds lake West of Hampton and a small County lake South of Hampton on #65.

Well I went out to brushy yesterday, the fishing was decent.  We didn't get set up till about noon, my brother had the bottle flu, stayed till about 6:30.  Managed to clean 17 real nice gills and 4 perch biggest gill going about 9.5".  We had to move a few times before we found some active fish.  Most were caught in 17-20 fow on red marmooskas and fiskas tipped with waxies.  Tried one walleye spot before we left and picked up 1 cigar.  Wish we would have gotten out there earlier but it was a great day to be out.

Went to Brushy Sat caught to nice Crappies at sun up then the rest of day was slow.  Crappies were a 12" and a 8" on waxies, nothing hit on minnows.  One gill around 3.

The interstate pond is usually good if you can get to it.
