There's a shop Downriver that charges $3:50 a doz.??? :'( Out of controll!!! We buy nice shinner's in Livingston Co, for $1:25 a doz. I don't understand why there's such a HUGE difference in price? Oh, almost forgot, GREED!!!
God created bass for those who can not catch walleye.

Here in Maine i am charged 4.20 a dozen for small to medium shiners, and 5.50 a dozen for the jumbo ones. 75 cents for suckers depending on size.

does the shop collect their own or order from a shop, this would be a huge difference in price....there are quite a few factors that weigh in, I was at a shop in BFE that one year was really expensive, the next year the price was really low....

fishing near sugar island and higgins and alot of large lakes in deep water with a gill pill iv'e been able to pull a few perfect grays up. it was an accident the first time it happend. i never thought that i could actually catch greys. just next time your fishing and you see a bunch of interference on the vex their might be free bait under their.
yes it's true i am a HARDWATER HOOKER!!!

We pay 18.50 per pound for big shiners/goldens that we fish pike with and you get 12-15 minnows.  The big fish we are trying to catch is worth every cent.    Every weekend there is a derby with average 750 to 1000. for the big pike,  ;) have no problem trying and i will pay 2.00 a piece if they get the big fellas.

hmm... Let's see. Half a dozen walleye minnows and 2 dozen perch minnows would run a whopping $2.50 where I get bait.

all i've bought this year soo far is crappie minnows, if i buy 3 doz. i get em for 6bux. it's the only place other than gander mountain around here to get them though. and after my experience last year with gander minnows it's worth it

start your own minnow hatchery and you can make a killin. if i have a slow day fishing i will take my minnows home and try to keep them alive til next time (also a good excuse to get back out. once your wife realizes how much money your flushing down the toilet! $3-3.50)

All those prices seem reasonable compared to up here in Houghton Co.  :-\. I'm looking at $8 a doz for pike suckers, $7.50 a doz for shiners,  $7 a doz for walleye minnows, Med fats are $3.50 a doz, and Smalls are $2.50 a doz.

Seems that it was pretty similar to these prices down in Clare Co. when I fished there earlier this season too though.
