quick strike rig?
« on: Feb 01, 2010, 11:40 AM »
New to targeting pike.  So may be a dumb question.  Can I tie up some of those quick strike rigs with flouro instead of wire?  If so what weight of flouro?  Is all flouro created equal?

Thanks Dogger

I dont see why you couldnt. I would buy the "fluro leader" line minstead of standard fluro. There is a big difference between the two.

Heavy flouro lines can be difficult to tie...sometimes crimping is easier.  Flourocarbon leader material is a lot more abrasion resistant and much more bite cutoff resistant than flourocarbon line for the spool.
