1-11-10 Mid day Perch
« on: Jan 12, 2010, 03:51 PM »
I got out to the lake around 11 and stayed untill 1. I also brought the dog for his first time. I got ten white perch all of them were good size except one. I released all of them. I also caught five yellows keeping four and released one. The yellow on the top weighed in at 1.3lb it was a fatty.

Nice work.  So whats the deal with Perch?  I mean I see people just hauling them in by the dozen but I haven't caught one since I was a kid.  Where are they and whats the technique for catching them?  I'm thinking I must have used worms when I was a kid.  Thanks.

The whites like larger minows and yellows will eat anything which makes it tough sometimes becuase theres more to question when your not getting a bite. My biggest tip would be fish all depths there not always on the bottom.
