Thanks for the replies + thanks Pat for posting up a few pictures.
Norton man all the Mass, RI +CT waters that I fish have public access, your making it sound like my crew are fishing private waters is BS.
Do your home work and research the waters that have pike in the state that you want to fish is the 1st step to landing your 1st 36+” fish.
My ice-fishing starts in Aug fishing out of my boat, scouting weed lines at different lakes are a key to my success. The lake and area me + Seth fished Sunday was a spot that I GPS in Oct.
Im pretty sure your lost FishingNewEngland..... ... :woot:

Wow! Sorry I got you all upset. I know some of the waters you do fish are private. My apologies for the assumption.

If they're not private, let us know where they are. I'm still on the hunt for my first pike.  ;D

Nice ones Dan! I don't know of any pike water that is private. There are some spots that I have to walk in to get to, the walk is about 1/2 hour but worth it. Time on the water get's you fish. Many days of little action but I have also had days of 10+ pike all over 8 lbs from the ice and open water. Find a lake that has them and figure it out.

Ever state in New England that stocks pike are all open to the public so the info someone has giving you is wrong.
The only private land that I know of in New England is a tiger musky spot and is a lake that I would love to fish but it's privite.

Tony well said, can you please take Norton kid out pike fishing. ;D ::) ;D

Sooo private there's a T on it every year. ::)

I've fished this lake and met Dsouth and his crew out there before, this lake is far from private. It's obvious Dsouth and his crew does their homework and get on nice fish consistantly, you  can't take that away from them.

FYI- fishing norton res and non-pike lakes aint going to put you on your first pike. ;)

You do not have explain yourself, Dan. Obviously you know how catch trophy fish. So then people think it becomes secret spots or private lakes. Well its not spots or luck or even private lakes, its plenty of homework. Like Dan, anyone who is looking to catch fish like this should listen to him an pay attention to what he may tell you. Homework, homework, homework. It all starts again for us as the ice leaves. From stocking up on bait, checking or notes from year to year, to finding locations for our upcoming winter on the open water.

Nice Job Dan Keep them coming.

If you back into Ma I would make a trip. Unemployment and an 80$ CT license is too much for me right now. I have some good "Coastal" Pike areas ;)
